Crimson Stain

Nick Carter's family cut him off when he would not give up Zoe Long. The two of them worked and saved toward a wedding, and Zoe was pregnant when Nick's heart gave out. The money for his treatment came with a condition on it from his family: Zoe had to agree to leave him and keep the reason to herself. She took the money and Nick was left believing she had walked out on him. Five years later Zoe is putting on an exhibition of her paintings to pay for their daughter's operation. Nick is there, and he is about to be married. He recognises her and has no intention of letting her go a second time. Zoe says nothing about the agreement or about the child.
