Marcus Reed runs a company where his wife, Audrey Morgan, and Ethan Mitchell both hold positions with signing authority. Contracts written for work that was never done are how money leaves such a company, and that is what the two of them were doing with it. Marcus finds out about the affair by accident, and then about the fake contracts. He does not confront either of them. He collects the paperwork and goes through the courts, defending his own stake and the company's. Audrey and Ethan are prosecuted for commercial fraud. For the sake of Audrey's parents, Marcus signs a letter of understanding. He restructures the company and gets it running again, and starts a new family.
