My Underworld Throne Was Stolen

The underworld runs its ten halls on performance targets. A hall that misses its numbers is stripped of authority and closed down, and the KPI System that keeps the score also drains the strength of whoever is in charge of it. Mora Yama heads the Tenth Hall. The assessments have cut her power down and Yama Hall is close to being dissolved, so she goes into the dungeons herself to keep her people in their posts. She subdues the vengeful spirits she finds there, puts them to work, and builds a media business in the underworld to bring the numbers up. King Quinn takes all of it from her and leaves her with nothing. Part of an old Yama King's power wakes in her at that point. The trail from it runs to the Merit Office and to Lawless Star Lord, who has had a scheme going for a thousand years. She sets out with her ghosts to break the restraint the Heavenly Way put on the halls, force the Reincarnation Passage open again, and bring back her friend Vega.
