My Daddy! It's Prometheus

Helen's younger sister is chosen as the offering for the festival of the King of the Underworld. The family buys off the priest, and Helen is put on the altar in her sister's place. The priest does not want Helen's six-year-old son growing up to come after him, so he declares the boy a demon's child, and mother and son are to burn together. The boy is Perseus, and his father is Prometheus. Years earlier, Prometheus killed the last Demon Queen and found that a fragment of her soul had slipped down into the human world to hide. He went after it disguised as a blacksmith, working iron while he searched. On the road he came across a girl being hunted, saved her, and hid with her in a cave. That was Helen. She became pregnant with his child. Zeus was enraged and threatened to bring down heaven's punishment, and to keep Helen alive Prometheus left her. She bore Perseus alone. At the altar, when the torch is put to the wood, gold light comes off the whole of Perseus's body, and the men around the pyre are too frightened to move. Far away, Prometheus feels his son's power break out. He ignores Zeus's ban, tears through the barrier, and comes down toward the altar. The lightning that is the penalty for it hits him on the way.
