No Army, No Crown? She Took Both

Synopsis

Yasmine returns from war having disguised herself as a man, defeated the Southern Nation, and captured its crown prince. The emperor repays her victory by breaking his promise of military command and inheritance, ordering her into marriage with the imperial crown prince so she can be confined to domestic life. Once inside the palace, Yasmine turns a bid to sideline her into a path through the succession struggle, seizes the regency, and ultimately places her own daughter on the throne as the nation's first female emperor.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.

The plot is hard to follow and never really comes together. With all the flashbacks and dream sequences, the pacing has no tension at all…
