Synopsis

Kane, a war god framed and exiled, pilots the ancient mech Primarch into the Empire's top academy, hiding his strength to expose a vast conspiracy. When void behemoths attack, he joins his enemies and discovers the mech's core seals his mother's stellar bloodline. He protects the common folk as a knight, rejects power, and soars the galaxy with the princess.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
