Baby Queen Saves the Day!

The people who can hear Catelyn think are her blood relatives, and she does not know it. She is a month old. She woke up inside a book as the newborn daughter of a duke's house and kept what she could do before, which is to see the threads that tie people to one another and to know what is coming for them. What is coming for her father is that he will not live past twenty two, and the house will be wiped out over a witchcraft case. In the hall she thinks her way through the problem and her family hears all of it, that the Crown Prince has been framing her father and that the prince has been carrying on with a eunuch. She gives away the Noble Consort too, who has spent years passing herself off as the woman who once saved the emperor's life. At the banquet for her first month Catelyn puts a baby's urine to use against the consort and steers her father into showing the room that the birthmark the consort has been trading on is painted. The consort is sent to the Cold Palace and works on the Crown Prince from there until he agrees to kill his father. Catelyn's warning gets out in time and the attempt fails. The consort walks into the side hall with a knife and goes for her.
