A Rose in the North

Melody is not the frail noblewoman she appears to be. She was the blade Prince Henry used to clear his political enemies, and when he was named crown prince and no longer needed her, she died for it. She wakes in the body of Lady Sherry, sickly by reputation, with her martial training intact and nobody aware of it. She uses the disguise to set a trap for Jude Shaw, the Regent, who holds the real power at court, and she gets him into it. He works with her because he has to. The wariness between them turns into something else, and they end up on the same side against enemies both of them have, some from the old life and some from this one.
