Synopsis

Transplanted into a novel, student Cynthia Howe must survive by winning the favor of its tyrannical emperor. Death grants her an unusual advantage: each time she is killed, she can reset events and try a different strategy. Her repeated attempts upend the emperor's world until he begins saving her in return, and the wary pair become partners against the conspiracies surrounding the throne.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
