From Doormat to Top Hat

Twenty-five years ago Daniel married into the wealthy Morgan family and moved into their house. He had graduated from a top university, and he did it because his parents were ill and he needed the money. His wife built a career and thought little of him for it. She raised their three children to look down on their father the same way. He caught her with one of her own employees. The family, humiliated, threw him out. Once out, Daniel did not go back. He turned a small stake into fifteen thousand, put ten thousand on the final of a tournament and came away with 1.8 million, started a fast-charging company, then put ten million into the Skyward Tower project while his wife was burning fifty-one million on an expansion. With Roxanne working alongside him he built his own group, produced the evidence that put one of their associates in front of the authorities, and bought the family company. He paid one for it.
