The Jade Master's Revenge

In Myanmar in the 1990s, Quentin was the finest stone cutter working in jade, and the trade called him the Jade King. His own apprentice, the one he trusted, betrayed him and staged a car crash that left him for dead in a snowstorm one night. Claire, who owned a jade shop, found him and saved his life. Quentin kept his name to himself and took a job in her shop as an ordinary hand, to repay her. He used his cutting and appraising to raise the shop's takings, which made the rival jade dealers jealous, and they came at the shop again and again. He met all of it calmly. When a rich playboy tried to take the shop off Claire through a stone gambling wager, Quentin beat him on skill alone and humiliated him, and Claire's regard for him turned into something more. Behind the playboy stood the apprentice who had betrayed him and who now carried the title of Jade King. Quentin takes his revenge on the man who ruined him.
