Strokes of Deception and Revenge

Underground billiard halls take bets on games and settle debts with property, and one of them takes Zhou Qi, an office worker, for everything his family owns, his house included. He was steered there by Wang Xuerong, a classmate from high school, and by Zhao San, a local thug. His wife Xiao Ru works out that the games were rigged and goes back to the hall herself, presenting herself as someone who has barely held a cue. She keeps winning on what looks like beginner's luck, and the men across the table keep raising the stakes to get their money back. When the sums are high enough she plays at her real level. The person running the setup is her estranged sister Xiao Ci, the queen of the underground circuit, who resents Xiao Ru for the three world championships she won and wanted her back at a table. The sisters' match is played for fingers and wrists, and ends with a shot taken blindfolded. Zhou Qi turns out to be a police officer working undercover, and he collects the evidence while the game goes on.
