Leo, a pastry chef, revives a rare recipe from the imperial court and plans to give it to his fiancée Amber as an engagement present. Amber is meanwhile plotting with Chunk, the nephew of the general manager. Twenty years earlier, Leo left his mother Evelyn, who was ill, to raise money for her treatment. Evelyn is now the chairwoman of a large company, and at a press conference she announces publicly that she is searching for her son. At the celebration for the new product, Chunk steals Leo's recipe and humiliates him in front of everyone. Evelyn is there. The taste of the dessert and a family heirloom tell her that the man being humiliated is Leo. When Chunk and Amber turn to violence, Evelyn steps in with the full authority of her position.
