Celeste Whitmore spent an entire life getting her father and her brothers to the top, and wore herself down doing it. The year the family arrived there, her older sister came home. Everything Celeste had worked for went to the sister, including the engagement to the crown prince that had been arranged in Celeste's name. She opens her eyes in the year her parents divorce.
