Kill Me On New Year's Eve

Daisy is home alone on New Year's Eve when a man named Shawn gets into the apartment. He pins her down and threatens her, and she is close to being killed when her husband Wesley comes home. In the struggle Wesley hits Shawn hard enough to kill him. The police arrive, along with Daisy's friend, and once the questioning is over Daisy decides to hold a dinner at the apartment for the people who came to help her that night, among them a delivery courier and one of the building's security guards. There is cake. The party has barely started when the dog eats a piece of it and dies of poisoning in front of everyone. Every guest at the table was someone she had invited to thank, and now each of them is a suspect, with the clock running toward midnight.
