Catch Her, Your Majesty!

Lillian Caldwell wants a place among the palace's physicians. She was born into a medical family and goes to the selection held at the palace. What stands in her way is the household her father set up after her mother died, when he brought home the woman he had been keeping outside, along with that woman's daughter. At the selection the stepmother and the stepsister slip her a drug, and under it she ends up in bed with a man she takes to be a palace guard. The family beats her with rods for the disgrace and throws her out, and she comes close to dying. Six years later she is a disciple of the Sage Doctor and is raising a son on her own. She is called to the palace to treat the Empress Dowager. The Emperor sees the boy and works out whose he is, because he was the man she had taken for a guard that night. The stepsister keeps making trouble for her at court, and when the boy is in danger it is the Emperor who steps in and saves him. After that, what happened six years earlier comes into the open.
