From Deceit to Devotion

Lillian Mont is engaged until she catches the man with someone else. In the anger of that evening she points at a waiter walking past, Alexander Reed, and announces to the room that he is her new boyfriend. The company she runs came to her when her mother died. A contract that decides its next few years is on the table, and the fiancé has been working to take it out from under her, together with the bid a rival group has put in. She ends the engagement and puts him out of the company. Alexander keeps turning up after that night. He takes the job as her assistant, and when the ex-fiancé starts moving against the business he is in place each time it happens. The deal gets closed with his help. The man in charge of the group behind the rival bid appears to be him.
