Secretly In Love With My Bestie's Son

Karl is a competitive swimmer, and he moves into Sophie's house on the excuse of a training camp. Sophie is his mother Selena's closest friend. He arranges things so that Sophie walks in on her fiance Michael with Selena, which is how the years those two spent lying to her come out. Living in the same house, Karl keeps making his interest clear and Sophie starts to feel it back, though the age gap and her long friendship with Selena weigh on her. Selena will not accept losing and works with Michael to get even. Michael wrecks a fashion show that matters to Sophie, and Karl and his teammates get there in time. Michael then tries to hit her with a car. Selena and Song Jiaqi drug Karl and stage photographs of him cheating to split the two of them up. Michael is sent to kidnap Sophie and force her to sign over the assets of her company. Karl sees through all of it and cuts ties with his mother. He reaches Sophie and is stabbed shielding her. Sophie tells him she is pregnant, and they decide to raise the child and take whatever the public says about them.
