The Orphan I Saved Came Back to Save Me

Sophia Nelson has just ended things with her boyfriend when she walks into a bar and steps in on Leo Smith, who works there and is being pushed around by a group of men. They spend the night together. Leo's sister is ill and the treatment costs more than he has, so the two of them come to an arrangement. Sophia pays the medical bills and Leo stays close as her protection. Sophia was brought into the Nelson family as an adopted daughter. Leo was not born under the name he uses. A jade pendant he has carried since he was small identifies him as the grandson a wealthy family lost years ago, and his sister turns out to be a granddaughter of a second family, the one Sophia was born into as the eldest of that generation. Sophia also works out where she has seen Leo before. Years earlier she had helped a boy at an orphanage, and Leo was that boy. Her ex does not accept being dropped. He works with another family that has its own interest in where the inheritance goes. Between them they arrange a kidnapping and then a set of accusations built to put Leo in the wrong.
