Twins, Betrayals, and Hidden Truths

"You don't need to save her." That is what Malanea Stewart's fiancé says while she is in a labor that is going badly, and her sister betrays her the same day. Malanea gets through the birth with one son alive and, as far as she knows, the other one lost. She takes the boy and leaves the country to stay alive. Five years later she comes back, by then working as a doctor under a different name, to settle accounts with her sister and her former fiancé and to look quietly for her mother. Her son is taken by mistake by a wealthy man, and the man's own boy turns out to be identical to hers. The two boys are twins, and the son she thought she had lost has been alive the whole time. A DNA test then shows that her former fiancé is not the boys' father, and her first love turns out to have been someone other than the man she thought. Malanea starts piecing together a missing birth record and a night in a hotel she has no memory of. The twins, meanwhile, have begun secretly swapping places behind her back.
