Gu Ye, Shen Lang and Pei Xiu are students with no money of their own. A woman pays their way and finds them positions, and later hands them shares in a company. One of them, Gu Ye, gets engaged to her. The woman is Xia Zhiwei, the only daughter of the richest man in the country. She has kept the Xia name out of it, lived as anyone else would, and founded a company worth billions, which she runs herself. An intern called Su Mo joins the firm and the three men fall in behind her. They take Xia Zhiwei's project away from her and go after a contract worth ten billion. She is hurt in the course of it and they look on. On the Century Building site she finds the trick being worked with the C105 concrete. She keeps that to herself. She records a video resigning her post and signing over her shares, and leaves. The Century Building collapses. The three men then learn that the woman they pushed out is the Xia heir. She goes back to her family, takes up its name openly, and sets about the three of them and Su Mo, working to turn them on one another.
