Yara comes back to the capital after three years abroad, worn out from opening the new markets, and Charles has changed while she was away. He is cold with her and puts blame on her, and his cousin Sophia keeps working on him to do it. Charles had saved her life once and Yara set out to pay it back with a company. She had a name in the capital's business world by then, and she built his group up from nothing and told him he could have ten mistakes, ten times she would let it go. The group took hold in the capital quickly enough but could not get itself listed, which is what sent her overseas in the first place. The ten go one at a time. When the last is used up Yara calls off the engagement, and the group runs into trouble the same day she leaves.
