The Ledger of Leaving

Lauren Carter was the only heir of the Carter family. Seven years ago she gave up that name to marry Nathan, and she quietly put her own money into his company, which is how he became the businessman everyone watched. They had a daughter. Then a new assistant, Vanessa, joined the company. She looks like the woman Nathan loved before, who is dead, and he keeps making exceptions for her. Lauren has had enough of it.
