She Had No Idea How Rich I Am!

Daphne had come through a serious illness and was cleared to go home. Her granddaughter Helena came to the hospital to collect her. Veronica arrived at the same hospital that day with her daughter Elara. Veronica had been involved with Daphne's son Harrison years earlier, and she was carrying debts left by her former husband. Elara was being lined up to marry into Harrison's family, and Veronica had come to introduce herself to the family's matriarch, whom she had never met. She did not recognize Daphne. She and Elara treated Daphne and Helena as two people in their way and insulted them in front of everyone present. The identities came out afterward, and the woman Veronica had spent the visit humiliating was the mother-in-law she had come to make an impression on.
