Love Like a Knife

Sean Mace is the head of a conglomerate. A business war he starts destroys the company belonging to Clara Gray's father, who cannot take the pressure and jumps from a building. Clara herself has only just finished university. Some time after this, a chance incident puts Clara in front of Sean, and he falls for her at first sight. He pursues her without letup and wants marriage. She knows what his trade war cost her family and turns him down. She is sharp-tongued and prickly, and the pursuit drags on, with her avoiding him and him refusing to stop. In the end he gets the marriage by whatever means work. After the wedding, Clara sets about making Sean tired of her so that he will throw her out, and in the middle of this effort she finds herself falling for him. Later the two of them land in a crisis together, and in the course of it Clara finds out that her uncle was the one behind her father's death.
