Death Rides the Blind Arrow

Narsus's wife and daughter were killed, and he has not found the man who did it. Narsus was once the greatest warrior on the steppe. Now he wears a black cloth over his eyes so that nobody will know him, and he wanders the grasslands as an outcast. By chance he saves an orphaned girl named Aruna and helps her take her place as her family's heir. Her uncle has been working against her in secret, and Narsus brings that into the open. Over the course of this his memory of the bow comes back to him a piece at a time, and with it his own past. He begins searching for the man who killed his wife and daughter. By then the people around him have started to work out who he is.
