Don't mess with billionaire's parents!

Mary booked a package tour with her husband, who has lost most of his memory, hoping that the places they had been to together might bring some of it back. On the tour the guide took them for a couple with no money behind them, and he made a point of it in front of the whole group, going after the husband where everyone could hear and leaving both of them standing there. He kept it up for a while. Then someone worked out who the quiet old couple actually were, which is to say whose parents they were, and how much of the guide's own future depended on the family whose name he had just been mocking. The correction reached him quickly and it did not stop with an apology. His position went, and after that a good deal more went with it. Mary and her husband stayed on the trip. Somewhere in the middle of an ugly week, with him forgetting the mornings and her filling them back in, the two of them found their way back to something they had let slip years earlier.
