Reborn: I Push My Sister to Ruin for Rice
Synopsis
Chloe is the adopted daughter in a family whose own daughter is vain and foolish, styles herself a saint, and imagines herself empress one day. In her first life Chloe could bring rice out of empty air, and the family, together with Prince Ethan, wrung that power out of her until she died of it. She has come back into the same house with the whole of that memory. This time she goes along with her sister's ambitions and feeds them. The sister wants Ethan's favor, so Chloe eggs her on to produce rice herself, which drains her own life to do. Ethan promises the sister the place of crown prince's consort, while what he is really after is the rice, to cover a grain shortage and to win the succession. The sister and her parents begin to wear down. Their hair falls out and their teeth come loose. Ethan becomes crown prince. Then the border sends for ten million shi of grain for the army, and whatever affection the family had for one another goes. Chloe sets them against one another. The sister leans on her parents to protect the position she expects to hold, and the father, who wants to be the emperor's father-in-law, is ready to spend his wife to get there. When the mother has nothing left and tries to fight back, she is put down. Ethan takes the grain to the front and comes back with the credit for it, and the emperor begins asking where so much grain came from, and whether Ethan has been dealing with an enemy state.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<
