Babysitting the World Terminator

Guixu is an abyss out of old myth, and the power that comes from it is real. A boy named Li Zhuan carries that power inside him and can draw it towards himself. A cult called the Longevity Society wants to live forever, and it wants Li Zhuan for his power. It runs schemes it calls Seed Immortal and the Soul-Taking Array, and it is trying to put Guixu itself into digital form. Ji is an enforcer from another dimension who got stranded in the human world. His celestial eye sees through every false thing, and he has been keeping his head down. That ends when he meets Li Zhuan. His job becomes getting the boy back to the world he came from before the Society takes him. Ji wakes his spirit companion, a red tiger, and gathers a handful of allies, and the fighting takes place among the towers of a modern city. His side has ordinary human bodies to set against the Society's methods, which work like the powers of gods, and their aim is to wreck the Society's plans and seal the rift that opens into Guixu.
