伊人遠去，再無晴空

The Lu household has a woman in it who cannot get out of bed, and looking after her falls to the son's wife. Jiang Nan does that job for eight years, while her husband Lu Chengyu ignores her and makes plain what he thinks she is worth. Lu Chengyu wins the highest literary award. At the ceremony he thanks his ex-wife Su Ling from the stage and is openly affectionate with her in front of the room. Jiang Nan works out afterwards what the eight years amounted to, which is unpaid domestic help. The silver ring he gave her turns out to be secondhand. She files for divorce, and in the same stretch she learns that her parents left her a large inheritance she had known nothing about.
