Sometimes a person gets to go back. They wake on a day they have already lived, with everything they learned the first time, and the same choice in front of them. Chu Weiran got the match she wanted, an alliance marriage to Gu Zhoucheng, whom she had known since they were children. Gu Zhoucheng was in love with her stepsister Chu Xinxue. He took a prison sentence settling a score for Chu Xinxue, and after that Chu Weiran was finished with him. Then she woke on the day the matches were being decided. This time she left Gu Zhoucheng to Chu Xinxue and put her own name down for Yan Xunli, the eldest son of the Yan family, who was said to be lame and violent tempered. Gu Zhoucheng knew none of it and went on believing she was set on marrying him. Chu Xinxue used that, and in the run up to the wedding he hurt Chu Weiran more than once.
