Echoes of Love

Lin Yeye walks out of prison meaning to start over. Jiang Zhou finds her first. He buys up what she owes and becomes her creditor, then sets the terms himself: she can work the debt off with her body. The job he has in mind is his own older brother, Jiang Yuhua. She is to get close to him, seduce him, and hand Jiang Zhou whatever comes of it. Yeye has no leverage to refuse, so she goes where she is sent. Jiang Zhou keeps managing the scheme from the outside, arranging the meetings, checking on how far things have gone. Somewhere in the middle of running it he starts feeling something for her that he had not planned for and does not know what to do with. He regrets pushing her toward Yuhua. He also cannot call it off without admitting why, and the debt he invented is still on the books between them.
