The Weeping Queen

Pei Zhizhi lost her sight and became an orphan after a tragic accident. Her uncle’s family, coveting the inheritance left by her parents, adopted her. But when they realized Pei Zhizhi herself didn’t know where the inheritance was, they sold her off for a hefty bride price, marrying the blind girl to a terminally ill, wealthy businessman in hopes of bringing him good luck. On the wedding day, Fu Jiangning, the supposed groom, suddenly regained consciousness. During the ceremony, Pei Zhizhi was publicly humiliated and injured by her cousin Pei Wan. Her head was struck, and she was rushed to the hospital. At that very moment, Fu Jiangning learned of the arranged marriage, refused it outright, and left the country, passing by Pei Zhizhi’s stretcher without realizing it. By a twist of fate, Pei Zhizhi later regained her sight and accidentally discovered her mother-in-law’s affair with the chauffeur. For her own safety, she chose to keep pretending to be blind. Years later, a powerful rising company made headlines by winning a major development project. Pei Zhizhi, now a confident and capable businesswoman, took the stage to deliver a speech. Fu Jiangning, newly returned to China as a business partner, saw her and fell in love at first sight.
