Elena wants the day she died on not to arrive a second time. In the life before this one her sister Veronica and her fiancé Grayson swapped out her golden dragon egg, put the theft and an affair on her, and she went into the Dragon Pit. She wakes up back before any of it has happened, with nothing of her own to use against them. Nidhogg, the Dragon Progenitor, has been held in confinement for a long time. Elena goes to him and asks for help. She comes away carrying nine of his heirs. On the day she gives birth, Veronica and Grayson arrive with the same accusations as before, and Nidhogg comes out and stands over her while the room is still full. He tells the people there what Veronica actually is.
