Hello Daddy, Your Son Is Right Here!

Amos has a marriage arranged for him that he wants out of, and to get in front of his grandfather about it he brings along a seven-year-old boy. The test they run afterward says the boy, Harley, is his. Seven years before that, Amos spent a night with Zoe while he was going about dressed as a beggar. Zoe has had bad luck following her most of her life, and she raised Harley alone. The boy came out with his father's talent for the seer's work and a habit of going out in girls' clothes. Once the test is done the family starts hunting for the child and keeps missing him. Zoe is hired as Amos's personal assistant without either of them knowing what connects them. Amos has a condition that no treatment has helped and that eases only when she is nearby, and the two of them get closer. The grandfather works out who Harley is and keeps Zoe's part in it to himself, which leaves Amos believing she is being kept by another man.
