The False Heir’s Lying Inner Voice

Lin Yiyi was the real daughter of a wealthy family, and she never worked out that Lin Nuannuan, the fake daughter who took her place, could control what people heard as her inner voice. The slander built up, her stomach cancer went untreated and got worse, and she died in a rehabilitation facility. She opens her eyes again at an earlier point, this time able to hear what other people are actually thinking. Lin Nuannuan is still spreading the same stories: that Yiyi is pretending to be poor, that she uses drugs, that she got pregnant before marriage. Yiyi stops absorbing it and answers each one head-on, using what she can hear to take the lies apart in front of the people who believed them. Her treatment brings her to Chen Jinxuan, the doctor handling her case, and the surgery for the cancer has to happen either way. Her parents still favor the daughter who is not theirs, and letting go of wanting anything from them is its own piece of work.
