Synopsis

Su Wan works as a bodyguard for women in abusive households. She marries the lawyer Gu Yanchen after a short acquaintance and does not tell him what she does. In his house she finds his mother covered in bruises and his young daughter frightened and silent. Gu Yanchen has been beating both of them. Su Wan acts weak in front of him and stays in the house collecting evidence. She brings the case to court. His mother testifies. Gu Yanchen loses his license to practice, and the mother and the girl leave the household. He works out afterward who Su Wan is and what she did.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
