Wrath of the Zeus's Son

He is a lowborn bastard of mixed blood who is entering the sacred Trials, which is the one route by which someone in his position can change what happens to him. The academy and the imperial nobility mock him for it. His father is a noble, and his half-brother was born legitimate. His hidden power starts to show during the Trials. Rather than let that be seen, his half-brother and his father move to have him executed in public and put the matter to rest. He is at the point of death when the pendant that seals his divine power cracks under the pressure. Zeus's Divine Envoy comes down to pass judgment on the empire, and the nobles go to their knees asking to be spared.
