Beast Soul Awakened

Spiritual qi has returned to the world and spirit beasts came back with it, feral and everywhere, and the only people who can stand against them are warriors whose martial souls have awakened. Awakening is a public ceremony and you either have one or you do not. Ryan Myers fails his. He is written off and told what he is by the people who watched. Afterward a choice system activates inside him, one that offers him options and grants what he picks, and what it gives him is the soul of one of the ten primordial beasts. He goes back to the ones who wrote him off, starting with the girlfriend who left and the men she brought along. From there the trouble gets larger. There is a cult operating in the gaps the beast incursions leave, and there are forces from outside the borders using the same gaps, and Ryan works through both while the system keeps offering him choices and the beast souls keep accumulating.
