Cooking Love

The maid in the cold palace is not who the people around her take her to be. Su Jixiang wrote about food for a living before she woke up in that body, and nobody in the palace knows it. Her plan is to stay unnoticed until she is twenty five, leave at that age, open a restaurant, and live well on it. The Prince of Huainan rebels before then and the emperor runs. Everyone attached to the deposed court, Su Jixiang included, counts as a leftover of it. She offers to cook for the rebel army to keep herself alive, and gets the medicinal cooking right for General Wei Ling's stomach trouble. The Prince of Huainan wants a hold on Wei Ling, so he marries Su Jixiang to him and sends the pair out to the cold border country, with frontier defence given as the reason. Wei Ling had expected to see out his life on that border. Su Jixiang, who can fight as well as cook, is there with him. While the two of them are getting closer, the Turks make contact with someone inside the walls and come at Mangcheng in the dark.
