The Sea God's Fated Bride

In this world the sea has its own god, and mortals who catch his attention rarely leave the encounter unchanged. Doris, a human woman with no god blood in her, spends one night with him and becomes pregnant with his child. Her foster mother sees the pregnancy as leverage and starts working plots against her from inside the household. A mermaid princess, used to getting her way at court, spreads lies about Doris to the sea god and to anyone else who will listen. The sea god himself becomes fixated on a gentle human prince who shows Doris kindness, and his jealousy turns possessive to the point that it threatens her more than her actual enemies do. Doris has to answer the foster mother's schemes, the princess's accusations, and the sea god's own temper at the same time, all while trying to hold the position that by rights should already be hers, the one and only queen carrying his heir.
