Gentle Entanglement

Huo Sinian grew up as the adopted daughter of the Huo family. When the orphanage that raised her fell into financial trouble, she agreed to marry Gu Beichen, the illegitimate son of the Gu family, to secure the money needed to keep it open. On her way to the marriage arrangement, she got into the wrong car and ended up with Gu Jiuci, Gu Beichen's nephew. The mistake put her in his company longer than either of them expected, and during that time Gu Jiuci realized she was the girl he had known and liked as a child. Once he placed her, he began pursuing her openly and without holding back. Huo Sinian kept the marriage to Gu Beichen moving forward because the orphanage's future still depended on it. She was drawn to Gu Jiuci but could not act on it while the arrangement with his uncle remained unresolved, and she went back and forth over what to do about the orphanage and about him. Eventually Huo Sinian and Gu Jiuci acknowledged what had grown between them. Together they uncovered the crimes Gu Beichen had committed, bringing them out into the open. Huo Sinian and Gu Jiuci ended up together.
