When ARIS launched worldwide, the Lins' own product event collapsed after a safety accident and the family neared bankruptcy. Vivian's long history of stealing jewelry and copying other people's technology came out and she was jailed. The Lins sold the family mansion to pay their debts, and the anonymous buyer was Chloe.
