At Attention, Love Under Cover

Roxy Howe ran the outfit on Tiger Mountain, and she went into the city of Lorne dressed as a man under the name Doug Howe so she could work with Marshal Samuel Craig against the enemy. During a job inside the Peace Hotel she kissed Samuel while still passing as a man, and Lorne put out a search for Doug. Roxy needed a reason to stay in the city, so she went to a matchmaking appointment. The man across the table was the pen pal she had been writing to, and he was Samuel Craig. Neither of them knew who the other was, and they were married in short order. Roxy kept up the act of a frail young man and Samuel had an act of his own going, a mild scholar with nothing much to him. The misunderstandings came apart one by one while the two of them held Lorne and the country behind it.
