Synopsis

The music exam comes back failed. Wang Xiaoyu stays in the house afterwards, eating watermelon and getting through a television serial, and then ends up inside the serial itself, with the sofa and the remote control carried in along the way. The remote turns out to work on the story. Wang Xiaoyu knocks the plot off its course without meaning to, then spends a good while trying to set it right, and gets attached to the people in it while doing so. There is a competition ahead of them, and the music training is what Wang Xiaoyu has to bring to it.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.

The plot is hard to follow and never really comes together. With all the flashbacks and dream sequences, the pacing has no tension at all…
