Holy Light

Yi Gaoyuan, an intellectual, and Gesang Meiduo, a girl from Xizang, meet in Xizang and come to understand each other. Later both of them are at Xizang Public School, and it is there that what is between them becomes love. Xizang has come through the peaceful liberation, and the changes that follow reach the people the two of them know. A new Xizang is being built, and the work goes ahead with difficulty. The school is the first institution of higher learning that the Communist Party of China set up for Xizang, and its founding and early growth run through the time Yi Gaoyuan and Gesang Meiduo spend there.
