Size Doesn't Matter, Power Does

In the Yolham Kingdom the empress is judged by her body. Christine Shaw put on a great deal of weight during pregnancy and after the birth, and the emperor turned away from her. Her own son came to hate her, because Noble Consort Rosalie Cooper kept telling him to. Rosalie had wanted the empress's place for years. She arranged for Christine's robes to tear open during the rain prayer ceremony so the court would see it, and then she strangled her. While Rosalie is enjoying what she has done, a modern medical student wakes up in Christine's body and swears to settle the account. She slaps Rosalie across the face and the emperor has her shut away in the cold palace for it. The new Christine can buy anything she wants from the modern world through a shopping system, and she has her medical training. She loses the weight first. At the banquet held to welcome the retired emperor she startles the court, and the emperor himself is caught by how she looks. She gives the retired emperor gifts of modern technology, and treats his illness in front of everyone. In a contest against the rival kingdom she uses modern devices to beat its eldest prince and the officials at court who have been selling their own country out, and the court comes to respect her. The emperor falls in love with her without understanding that he has. He tries everything to win her back and sends the rest of his consorts away. Christine feels nothing for him.
