Synopsis

Gu Qingzi held the position of patron of Jun'an City. In her dealings with the court she presented herself as weak, and by that means she kept the power of the court in balance. General Li Yinzhi then returned to the city at the head of 150,000 soldiers. His return upset her arrangement. She tried the same pretence of weakness on Li Yinzhi that she had used on the court. She was then forced into a marriage with him.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.

The plot is hard to follow and never really comes together. With all the flashbacks and dream sequences, the pacing has no tension at all…
