Twelve contestants live under those terms for sixty days, one for each sign of the zodiac.
The first stage sorts them into classes straight away. Class A has one seat in it. The lower the placement, the less screen time that contestant gets, so the sorting decides who the audience sees at all in the rounds after. They learn the theme song and are evaluated a second time, and a vote settles who stands at the centre of it. Holding the centre carries first pick of stage and of teammates in every round that follows.
There are three performance rounds. Voting opens once the stages have been shown, and the judges in the room say what they think without softening it. Four contestants come out of it with debuts, one from each of the four elemental groups the signs fall into.
