Synopsis

Chang Le is the princess of Daxing, raised indulged and taught since childhood to think about the people. On the day of her coming of age ceremony she goes out on a boat. The boat hits a bridge and a body is found hidden there. The boatman accuses her of being behind the killing and kills himself. She is a suspect with no way to clear herself from inside the palace, so she leaves in secret and travels to Qiongzhou. What she finds there is a large crime running underneath the prosperity of Daxing.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
